Privacy
We collect only what we need to run Tringine — nothing more — and we never sell or share it.
Draft — pending legal review. This document is a working draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how Tringine actually works, but do not rely on it as final legal advice yet. Last revised 22 July 2026.
Tringine is run by Publifye AS, a Norwegian company. Because we are in Norway and the EEA, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to how we handle your personal data. Publifye AS is the data controller for the information described here.
Our approach in one line
We collect the minimum needed to give you an account, take your payment, and let you build and re-download your Bibles. We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it with anyone except the service providers that make Tringine work, and we run no advertising and no tracking beyond what is operationally necessary.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address (and the password you set) | To create and sign you in to your account, and to let you recover it. Sign-in is handled by Publifye's shared login (Lighthouse), so one Publifye account works across our services. |
| Your build history — the editions you built and the options you chose | So your builds appear in your account and you can re-download them for their retention window, and so you can duplicate a previous build. |
| Payment — handled by Stripe | To take a one-time payment for build credits or a tier. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We keep a record that an order was paid, so we can grant what you bought. |
| Basic operational logs | To keep the service running, secure and debuggable. We do not log your password, and we never log request headers, API keys or secrets. |
The Scripture text in your builds comes from the Darash corpus; that is content we compose for you, not personal data we collect about you.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal data — to anyone, ever.
- We do not share it except with the service providers below, purely so the service functions.
- No advertising, no ad-tracking, no data brokers, no third-party analytics profiling.
Who processes data for us
To run Tringine we rely on a small number of processors, each handling only what their job needs:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives the payment details you enter directly with them.
- Publifye's own login and hosting infrastructure — our shared sign-in (Lighthouse) and the servers that store your account and your builds. These are operated by Publifye AS.
How long we keep it
- Finished builds are stored for about 60 days, then deleted. Within that window you can re-download them for free.
- Your account and build history are kept until you ask us to delete them.
- Payment records are kept as long as we are legally required to (for example, for accounting and tax).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct it if it is wrong;
- Delete your account and data ("right to erasure"), subject to records we must keep by law;
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and receive a copy of your data.
To exercise any of these, contact us (below). You also have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
